Florida Economic Development Conference is postponed
Greetings FEDC 2020 Conference Registrants, Sponsors, Exhibitors and Speakers,
After careful consideration of CDC guidelines and the national and state of emergencies regarding COVID-19, the FEDC Board of Directors has postponed the 2020 Florida Economic Development Conference originally scheduled for May 11-13 at the Hilton Bayfront St. Petersburg.
The conference committee led by Jennifer Taylor, Vice President of Business Development for the Central Florida Development Council, along with the FEDC Board of Directors, led by Kelly Smallridge, President & CEO of the BDB of Palm Beach County, are evaluating alternate dates.
These are uncharted waters that we navigate and you are the professionals on the front lines for business, industry, and talent. Thank you for all that you do and thank you to our Platinum Presenting sponsor, Enterprise Florida, and Diamond sponsors, CareerSource Florida, Florida SBDC Network and Development Counsellors International for supporting this decision.
If you have made hotel reservations, you must cancel them yourself by going online to Hilton.com or calling the Hilton Reservations line at 800-445-8667 to cancel your reservation and avoid any penalties.
Jill and I will process conference registration fee refunds via individual requests, however, we do ask that you give the Conference Committee and Board time to find alternate dates. You may leave everything in place until then.
